Whats the point in spending thousands of pounds on performance parts and equipment, only to leave the final set up of the engine to guesswork? At best, it may result in excessive fuel consumption - at worst, it could mean getting into an over lean condition, culminating in meltdown. All engines tested on the JMR dyno are provided with a computerised printout showing torque and horsepower. If you know which gear ratios are fitted to the vehicle and other relevant info, I can run a computer simulation which will give accurate performance figures e.g 0 - 60 mph, quarter mile time and speed etc You'll find more information on the dyno in the JMR Performance Guide and I'm sure you'll find the test results of the various engine combinations make for interesting reading. |
