| Schadeck 26mm oil pump This is the same pump as used by Berg but doesn't feature the hard anodising Berg carries out to the pump body or the 'O' ring feature. It's still a high quality item but comes in at less than half the price of the Berg pump. I block the outlet to make the pump suitable for use with a full flow oiling system. Compatible with all aftermarket cams sold by JMR | | | |
| Schadeck 30mm oil pump Same as above apart from the larger 30mm gears for those who need additional oil pressure. | | | |
| Cast iron pump cover A straight copy of the Berg cast iron pump cover made by Empi but at lower cost. Designed to be used in full flow applications. The cover is supplied with a single 3/8inch NPT barbed fitting and is designed to allow pulley tinware to fit correctly. Good quality and excellent value. | | | |
| Gene Berg 26mm oil pump
I rate this as the best oil pump you can buy. Almost every engine I build uses on of these. Aluminium body with an 'O' ring eliminates oil leaks. Melling 30mm pumps are bigger than most engines need and cause clearance problems when used with a full flow pump cover, pulley tinware and a stock diameter crank pulley. The Berg pump solves all these problems.
| Gene Berg oil pump cover
Made of cast iron and feature the Gene Berg logo. The four bolt holes are countersunk to avoid pulley tin/crank pulley interference and the oil take off boss is contoured to suit the pulley tin too. A quality item.
You'll also need a 3/8" NPT fitting to screw into it. See below.
| Clearanced 90 degree oil fitting
This routes the oil back into the case after it's exited the oil filter (or external cooler). The boss to the right of the oil galley this screws into must be clearanced to allow fitment. Makes a very neat, compact installation. Looks a lot tidier than the ugly 'plumber' style fittings used by others. You'll also need a 3/8" NPT fitting to screw into it. See below.
| 45 degree oil fitting On bay window buses, use this fitting to allow you to route the oil from the pump cover, past the engine support. | | | |
| 3/8 inch NPT barbs
Screws into the Berg 90 degree fitting and the Berg pump cover. Just push on your oil hose and secure with a jubilee clip.

| Oil filter mount
Allows you to use a screw on oil filter. Accepts inexpensive Golf filters or the high performance Fram HP1. Comes with inlet and outlet fittings and 2 jubilee clips for the oil hose. Three mounting holes make it easy to attach to your bumper hanger (best place for installation).
| Golf oil filter Can't cope with extreme pressures like the Fram HP1 but is an inexpensive alternative and it still offers far superior filtering than the stock 'tea strainer'. This will work fine on the majority of street driven engines that aren't subject to extreme rpm for extended periods of time. | | | |
| K & N Gold oil filter - replacement for Fram HP1 Superior quality and finer filtration than an HP1. Fits all filter mounts that accept Golf and HP1 filters. I now use K&N Gold filters on all my engine builds. Keep your engine free from contaminants as small as 10 microns with these Performance Gold K&N oil filters. They use a resin-impregnated filter media to provide maximum filtering, and an inner core to lend extra structural support to the filter, preventing filter collapse. Plus, these K&N oil filters have an anti-drainback valve that eliminates dry starts and prevents oil from draining back into the crankcase during engine shutdown. And they're protected by a heavy-duty outer shell that guards against rock and stone damage and provides over 550 psi hydrostatic burst strength. | | | |
| K&N Gold Oil Filters x 3 Special Deal Special deal on K&N Gold filters filters when buying three at a time | | | |
| Oil Pressure Switch Stock replacement oil pressure switch | | | |
| Oil tee piece This fits the original oil pressure switch location in your crankcase and allows you fit an oil temp or pressure sender in addition to the original idiot light sender. | | | |
| 1.5 quart deep sump This represents excellent value for money whilst ensuring you always have oil available at the pick-up tube. High rpm can result in loss of oil at the pick-up tube becuse the oil is being pumped out of the sump quicker than it can return. Hard cornering can force the oil to one side of the engine and leave the oil pump sucking air.

| Oil cooler - stock doghouse
The best cooler you can use. Even if you're fitting an external cooler, leave the stock doghouse cooler in it's standard location. Use it with the stock doghouse type fan housing (as fitted to all twin port engines) or the Scat doghouse tin as listed in the 'tinware' department. Also make sure you use the correct fan. Doghouse tinware fans are wider than those fitted to single port engines. The narrower fan will allow your engine to overheat.
| Doghouse oil cooler mount
The part that fits between the crankcase and the oil cooler.
| 96 row oil cooler with 12 volt cooling fan Used in conjunction with the inline thermosat listed below, this has to be the best way to take care of the additional cooling needs of your modified engine. It allows you to mount the cooler in a visually unobtrusive position - usually next to or above the transmission. With the addition of the thermostat, the cooling fan is switched on automatically when oil temperature reaches 80 deg C. An absolute must for modified Type 2 owners. | | | |
| Fan Thermostat for 96 row oil cooler Only available to those purchasing, or who have already purchased an oil cooler from JMR. Put your cooling fan on auto-pilot. No need to worry about when to switch the fan on or not - the thermostat will automatically switch the fan on when oil temperature reaches 80deg C. Splices into the cooler inlet hose. All necessary fittings supplied. Designed to be used with the 96 row oil cooler listed above. | | | |
| Oil cooler block off For engines that don't require an oil cooler (eg. drag racers). | | | |
| Oil bypass adapter kit Relocate your oil cooler. Bolt this in place of the stock cooler and run hoses to and from the new location. Not recommended for the average street engine but is useful for people running Porsche 911 cooling and some kit car/trike owners. | | | |
| Adjustable oil pressure regulator Allows you to adjust oil pressure by altering preload of the oil pressure control spring. A straight swap for the stock oil pressure relief plug (closest to flywheel). No machine work required. | | | |
| Oil temperature thermostat If you're using an external oil cooler, you should route your oil hoses via on of these. When oil temp is below 80 degrees C, instead of being sent to the cooler, it'll be routed straight back to the case. Once it reaches 80 degrees, the thermostat lets the oil through to the cooler. You're engine warms up more quickly and is subject to less wear. Easy to fit. Instructions supplied. | | | |
| Mocal 13 row oil cooler Extremely efficient and compact oil cooler. For hidden installation, it fits neatly above the transmission in any Type 1 vehicle. Even in this location you'll see a significant drop in oil temperature. Should definitely be used in conjunction with the oil temp thermostat listed above. Measures 23cm wide x 10cm high. Uses 2 x 0.5 inch BSP fittings (see below). | | | |
| Mocal oil cooler fittings 90 degree fittings to suit 13 row Mocal oil cooler. Push on hose type. Two needed per cooler.

| Dipstick Stock style dipstick | | | |
| Oil strainer Stock replacement strainer. I use these on all JMR engines. | | | |
| Sump plate Stock plate, comes with drain plug. use domed sump nuts (listed below) to prevent damage to the sump studs. | | | |
| Billet aluminium sump plate Thick aluminium billet sump plate resists distortion. Supplied with drain plug, nuts, gaskets and copper sealing washers | | | |
