JMR has a fully
equipped machine shop in which 99% of all necessary machine work operations
associated with the modification and blueprinting of performance engines and
transmissions can be carried out. By carrying out this work in house, quality
is assured.
Here are
just some of the procedures carried out at the JMR workshop:
Crankcase: Line bore, bore for
larger cylinders, deck case, bore & deck case, clearance case for stroker
crank, clearance cam follower bores, drill & tap for full flow, drill &
tap oilways, fit case savers (8mm), fit case savers (10mm), bore case for Scat
flanged crank seal, cut case for sand seal, machine Type 4 case for Porsche
fan, braze oil pick up extension.

Crank &
Flywheel: Regrind crank, polish crank, magnaflux crank, nitride crank, 8
dowel crank & flywheel, lighten flywheel, resurface flywheel, dynamically
balance crank assembly
Conrods: Clearance rods for stroker crank, balance rods +/-
1gm, balance rods end for end +/- 1gm, resize big ends, fit & size small
ends, straighten rod
Pistons & Cylinders: Hone set of cylinders, set ring gaps,
flycut pistons, dish pistons, balance pistons +/- 1gm, notch pistons for valve
clearance, glass bead pistons
 Cylinder Heads: Remove &
replace valve guides, recut valve seat, competition multi-angle valve job, cut
041 inlet seat to 40mm, semi- hemi cut combustion chambers, bore pair heads for
larger cylinders, bore heads & semi- hemi, cut guide bosses for dual
springs, cut guide tops for retainer clearance, cc combustion chambers, flycut
heads, port & polish pair heads, install larger valve seats, glass bead
heads
Miscellaneous: Plug oil pump, machine pushrods to length, shim
bolt together rocker shafts, degrease crankcase, leak test engine
