.... I've put together a few
calculator programmes I'm sure you'll find useful at some point. The 'JMR Engine Calculator' allows you to play around with
different engine capacities, determining optimum deck height, combustion
chamber volume and compression ratios. The JMR 'Gear Ratio Calculator' lets you input various gear,
ring and pinion ratios and tire sizes. It will then calculate what mph you will
be running at various rpm in each gear. The
Farenheit to Centigrade' converter will come
in handy for people running Autometer gauges calibrated in degrees F but who
are more familiar with Centigrade. The 'Horsepower Calculator' will give you some
idea how many bhp it will take to get your car down the quarter mile in a given
time. It can't be considered to be truly accurate as it doesn't take into
account torque and horsepower throughout the rpm range, gear ratios or tire
size. Nevertheless, you should still have some fun trying out different weight
and quarter mile times. These programmes will all work offline,
so download them and keep them somewhere handy for future reference. Hopefully
you'll find them useful in assisting with your project.
